Enterprise Global Laptop Transition

Project Description

Led a global transition from desktops to laptops across multiple enterprise locations. This project was initiated in response to the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and aimed to enhance remote work capabilities.

Key Achievements

  • Transition Planning: Started with 106 desktops and successfully transitioned the majority to laptops, considering the specific needs of different departments such as Parts, Reception, Warehouse, and Boardrooms.

  • Desktop Reduction: Reduced the number of desktops to 25 pending replacements, with the highest concentration of 11 at Oakdale. This included 6 in the US and the remaining 19 in Ontario.

  • Supply Chain Management: Navigated supply chain issues caused by the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure the timely acquisition and setup of laptop hardware.

  • Successful Completion: Despite the challenges, ensured that the remaining 25 desktops were reclaimed and the users transitioned to laptops by the end of Q1 2021.

Key Fob System Implementation

Project Description

Led the implementation of a key fob system across multiple office locations for a client based in Houston. This involved extensive collaboration with vendors, contractors, and local authorities to ensure a successful and compliant installation.

Key Achievements

  • System Design: Worked closely with the vendor to design the key fob system, including the selection of controllers and exit locks.

  • Installation Coordination: Coordinated with electrical and cabling contractors to ensure a smooth and efficient installation process.

  • Permit Approval: Liaised with the Fire Marshall to secure necessary permit approvals, demonstrating my ability to navigate regulatory requirements.

  • Intrusion Alarm Integration: Integrated the key fob system with an office intrusion alarm at select locations, enhancing the overall security of the premises.

  • Active Directory Integration: Successfully integrated the system with the organization’s Active Directory, streamlining access management across all locations.

Client Infrastructure Modernization

Project Description

Led a major modernization project initially planned to span 3 years and broken down into 4 distinct phases. The project scope was expanded to integrate an acquired company into the parent company’s infrastructure, accelerating the timeline to be completed in 1-2 years.

Key Achievements

  • Project Acceleration: Adapted to new requirements to fully integrate an acquired company into the parent company’s infrastructure, accelerating the project timeline from 3 years to 1-2 years.

  • Risk Mitigation: Reworked the project deliverables to execute more items in parallel while still effectively mitigating risk.

  • Desktop and User Compute Device Support: Led the hand-off of desktop and user compute device support to a solution more fitting to modern business needs.

  • Printer Upgrades: Oversaw the upgrade of office cabinet printers, enhancing printing capabilities across the organization.

  • Team Training: Worked with the local support resource to train them to meet the team standard and assisted with the knowledge transfer, ensuring continuity of support and service.

Mobile Device Management (MDM)

Enhanced the security and manageability of our mobile device ecosystem by implementing a comprehensive Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution.

Key Achievements

  • Device Registration: Successfully registered a wide range of devices, including both corporate and BYOD mobile devices, into our MDM portal. This covered a diverse set of products, spanning both Android and iPhone platforms.

  • Data Security: Established robust protocols to protect company-owned data. This was particularly crucial in scenarios involving lost or stolen devices, ensuring that our business information remained secure at all times.

  • Vendor Collaboration: Collaborated closely with vendors to set up a pre-registration process for devices shipped to our company. This streamlined setup process allowed for immediate use of the devices upon arrival, enhancing efficiency.

  • Azure MDM Integration: Demonstrated my ability to work with cloud-based device management platforms by successfully integrating our MDM solutions with Azure MDM.

ISP Enterprise Fiber and Network Equipment Upgrade
